Flying by private jet is the pinnacle of luxury.
You don’t have to line up through security and passport control, and you can recline in plush leather seats with ample legroom, being waited on hand and foot. Most of us can only dream of traveling in such a way, reluctantly resigning ourselves to the fact that it’ll probably only happen if we win the lottery or befriend a billionaire.
However, one company is trying to make flying private more affordable.
PrivateFly, a booking platform for on-demand private-jet charters, has launched fixed prices for summer 2019, including one-way flights for about £650 ($850) per person.
Its new "City Pairs" are discounted, fixed-rate private-jet flights between some of Europe's most popular destinations, with prices 30% to 50% lower than average.
To take advantage of the deal, however, you need to fill the plane with six people, so it's ideal if you're traveling with family or friends for a special celebration.
PrivateFly says a one-way flight from London to Paris on a Nextant 400XTi private jet will cost $5,085 (about £3,900) in total, which, divided by six, is a little less than $850 (£650) each.
To put this into context, one-way business-class flights with British Airways between London and Paris can cost as much as £345, or $450.
While PrivateFly's flights might be discounted, that doesn't mean your luxury experience will be compromised.
You can skip the hectic airport experience by going through a separate VIP terminal, complete with a plush lounge, for a preflight beverage (or just arrive 15 minutes before takeoff if you're in a hurry).
Then walk straight to your jet outside and board via a red carpet, in case you didn't already feel like enough of an A-lister.
On board, you can enjoy luxury cuisine and, of course, plenty of Champagne.

- London and Ibiza: $10,170 (£7,800), or $1,695 (£1,300) per person
- London and Palma: $10,170 (£7,800), or $1,695 (£1,300) per person
- Paris Le Bourget and Geneva: $5,085 (£3,900), or $850 (£650) per person
- Paris Le Bourget and Nice Côte d'Azur: $6,215 (£4,760), or $1,035 (£795) per person
- Paris Le Bourget and Milan Malpensa: $6,215 (£4,760), or $1,035 (£795) per person
- Milan Malpensa and Rome Ciampino: $5,650 (£4,330), or $940 (£720) per person

PrivateFly listed converted dollar prices from fixed euro prices and said all flights to and from Italy would also incur a €100 ($110, £85) Italian luxury tax per passenger.
